Columbia, Missouri – June 1, 2015 – StorageMart announced today the acquisition of Strong Box Self Storage and its locations in Lincoln, Nebraska and the Omaha Metropolitan Area.

“We’re very pleased to be making our initial entry into the Omaha market,” StorageMart CEO Mike Burnam said. “The self storage property in Papillion meets all of our operating criteria. We’re also very excited to be increasing our presence in Lincoln.”

The acquisition adds two properties, with more than 106,000 net rentable square feet across 793 total units, to the StorageMart portfolio. StorageMart now owns and operates 164 self storage locations across the United States and Canada, making it the seventh largest operator in North America.

The store at 1502 Bristol Street in Papillion, Nebraska marks StorageMart’s first entrance into the Omaha Metropolitan Area. The store located at 2701 W. O Street becomes the second StorageMart property in Lincoln.

StorageMart has plans to upgrade these storage properties to include the many features that make StorageMart a leader in the self storage industry. Each property will be upgraded with bright lighting to the interior and exterior and carpeted hallways. Amenities also include perimeter fencing accessible only via pin-controlled gates, and video cameras throughout the property to help provide peace of mind for storage customers.

Storage options include outdoor parking areas for storing vehicles, heated, climate-controlled storage units and units with drive-up access.

Each of these new locations will offer for purchase a wide variety of high quality moving boxes and packing supplies, making StorageMart the convenient place to take care of all of your moving and storage needs.
