Buyer's Guide

The Self-Storage Buyer's Guide is the industry's one-stop online marketplace for information on vendors servicing all aspects of the self-storage industry. We are a large industry and it is impossible to keep an inventory on all vendors ... so let the education experts at MiniCo Publishing handle that for you. Self-storage owners, operators, managers, and vendors alike can search for local or national companies and vendors to work with and contact them with no middle-man, unlike other directory and vendor locator databases. True to our primary charter of educating the industry, the Self-Storage Buyer's Guide is there to educate visitors as to who the Top Self-Storage Vendors are and give them multiple points of contact to facilitate vendor/buyer connections. Our list of vendors and vendor categories is always growing and if a need arises for information on a particular category that is not representing in our list, please let us know and we’ll get to work gathering data on vendors for you.

Charity Storage, Inc.

Charity Storage is a 501(c)3 organization founded by veteran self storage operators, the late Barry Hoeven of Westport Properties/US Storage Centers and Lance Watkins, President and CEO of Storelocal Corporation. Charity Storage is the only official Charity Partner of the Self Storage Association. Since inception we have raised over $478,000 for local, national and international charities. The Charity Storage Giving Back Program is easy to administer – a storage unit is set aside by the storage facility as a donation drop-off center. Departing and current tenants, auction buyers, local residents and businesses donate items in exchange for a donation receipt. The unit is put up for auction either online or on site. Once the auction is complete, the revenue is allocated to a charity chosen by the facility (60%), Kure It Cancer Research (20%), and the Self Storage Association Scholarship Foundation Program (10%). Charity Storage retains 10% to help underwrite administrative costs. We are able to give back 90% of the auction funds to other qualified charities as a result of our sponsor partners. We are grateful to our sponsor partners who help us spread the word about our mission; Angel Sponsors (10K/year), Sustaining Sponsors (3K/year) and In-Kind Sponsors. Together we are making a difference one Charity Storage Unit Auction at a time!
