Millennials are addicted to the Internet. It is no secret that if you want to reach one of the largest consumer bases you need to have an Internet presence, whether that is through
Facebook, Twitter, or just keeping up with the reviews people are posting on Yelp. But one major website could be the key to accessing the flighty millennial attention span. YouTube is one of the main sites millennials consume. While the largest generation is turning away from cable TV in droves, opting instead for Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Go, to satisfy their entertainment needs they are also tuning in to YouTube; and they are doing it large numbers—always coming back for more. Approximately 30 million people visit YouTube every day. In an average month, eight out of 10 people, ages 18 to 49, watch YouTube as reported by YouTube statistics.
