Several Texas counties have just issued new orders requiring face masks be worn at all commercial entities, including self-storage facilities. In addition, signage about these policies is now required in some counties, with effective dates as early as Monday, June 22.
As cases spike, counties have begun issuing these orders with very little notice to businesses affected. Today, Travis and Dallas Counties issued orders and several other counties issued orders in the last day or two. We assume there are more to come.
Because the orders are so numerous and continue to evolve on an almost daily basis, TSSA’s legal counsel cannot review every single one. Members are urged to keep up with local orders regarding face mask requirements, signage, some bans on evictions and continued bans on gatherings of more than 10 individuals, which would preclude having in-person foreclosure auctions in some areas. (Orders do vary; there is no one-size-fits-all, so pay attention to your local order.)
Remember, TSSA continues to update our Coronavirus Resources page as needed on an ongoing basis.
